As a token of gratitude, members of the Town Council and others recently hosted the annual Fire Station Chili Dinner for the crew of Topanga Engine Company 69. For three hours they swapped stories and shared a homemade meal featuring Laura Bateman's award-winning venison and elk chili. The men cleaned up and everyone agreed, "We should do this more often."
